Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia (Spanish to mean "Rosalia") Rosalia Vila (Spanish for "Rosalia") is an Spanish Pop and Flamenco Singer. Since she was a teen, she has worked with traditional as well as popular music. Her musical interests have expanded to encompass soul and hip-hop. Guitarist from Flamenco Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, yet with the bite of older singers. Her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success making it to the top of Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately getting the Grammy. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami is her 3rd album that was full-length. It included collaborations with fellow artists and producers, including Cory Henry. The set was released on March 20, 2022 after a performance of the track Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia is the very first Spanish artist to sing solo on the program. Along with taking home three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
